Conceptual Project
ART HUB AND URBAN ORCHARD
The site of intervention is identified as the oldest housing standing structure from the XVI century, located in the core of The Merced neighbourhood in the immediacies of the first perimeter of the historic centre of Mexico City. Based on the original main structural walls rehabilitated for workshops, an additional propose story reinforces the 2 original wards with residences for artist, exhibition space, offices and lounge, redefining the patio scheme to become an urban orchard.
